Rewriting Normal is an ADHD platform for adults who’ve spent years trying to work, parent, and simply exist in a world that didn’t make space for neurodivergent minds—until they started carving out their own space.

This site is a space for people who’ve always felt a bit different — or a lot.
Whether you were diagnosed late, are parenting neurodivergent kids, or just feel like the world runs on settings you weren’t given, you’re welcome here.

Late ADHD diagnosis is more common than people think, especially among women and those who’ve spent years masking their symptoms.

Why I’m writing anonymously

I write under a pen name, partly to protect my family’s privacy—and partly because I’m still learning to share this part of myself without fear.

ADHD shows up everywhere: at work, in parenting, in our relationships and sense of self-worth. And yet many of us still feel pressure to perform or pass as “normal” in public.

I’m slowly unlearning that pressure, but I’m doing it on my own terms.

If you’re not ready to shout your diagnosis from the rooftops—I get it.
That’s why this space exists. Quietly. Gently. Honestly.

What You’ll Find Here

Rewriting Normal is an ADHD platform for adults, parents, and anyone who relates to neurodivergent life. You’ll find:

  • Honest stories from ADHD life (without toxic positivity)
  • Tools that meet your brain where it’s at
  • Reflections on burnout, unmasking, identity, and parenting
  • Downloadable resources made for real humans—not productivity machines

You don’t have to “fix” yourself to belong here.
Not even knowing if it’s ADHD is okay.
What matters is that you want something that fits your actual life.

Why Rewriting Normal?

Because the way we define “normal” has never worked for people like us.

This platform isn’t about changing who we are. It’s about challenging the expectations—the systems, narratives, and invisible rules—that never made room for us in the first place.

ADHD is real, and the science backs that up. We’re not rewriting ourselves.
We’re rewriting the idea of normal.
